It's far enough away from Balto/Wash that people who have to have chemo several times a week will do it in the local hospital instead of driving in to D.C. if they can -- plus remember that people who live further into the countryside will be driving "in" to G'burg as being the closest hospital. Not such a big deal to drive from G'Burg to Balto/Wash, but if you live an hour away from G'burg, a 2-hour drive to D.C. becomes a huge issue.
