The smarter ones are watching like hawks and will jump out the second that they see their profits are evaporating. That's why I'm hoping for a mind-blowing press release at an unexpected time in the middle of the week (for instance a Thursday morning) that will cause a gap up, rather than letting them have a chance to cover.

Of course the problem is that the market makers will undoubtedly run it down on that day so that their buddies can cover. They did that on the day that DNDN gapped from 7 to 21 -- there was an intraday spike down, allowing some "lucky" shorts to get out.
