Back in late May when I wrote to one of the top individuals at the FAA, I received a nice letter in response to my inquiry. I received the letter as an attachment to an e-mail, and the e-mail arrived on June 12, 2015. The letter was signed by the Deputy Director for Flight Standards Service Field Operations.
The letter was (future) dated July 12, 2015....an entire month ahead of when I received it.
Mistakes happen.....apparently even to the best of us.
