I would think if it was brought to the attention of someone on the House or Senate subcommittee on Aviation Safety that these slides currently are in service with a 37% failure rate, that would get some attention.

Then if they were also told there's a new airline trying to get certified but they haven't been able to get past the mini because of these same slide failures but they have now figured out the problem and have implemented a solution and have presented that solution on to the FAA 70+ days ago but are still waiting on a response... I would think that would get a few things moving too.

Just a thought if anyone may have some connections...
