another head scratched to me is this. COR saying they can't get the money from CRGP now

Really, why? CRGP is a publicly traded stock and for legal purposes is still a company. Are they going off a PR that they are now private? Has FIRNA approved it? Have they even tried to get money from CRGP?

COR's words seem a little cart before the horse imo
