I'll have to do some research on that. I don't think that's the case. I was in another spin off several years ago, rxii split from gale. Rxii went public at about $4 and never made it above $6. It's now in the thirty cent range. Gale did jump up as high as $7 and currently hovers around $1.80. I sold the rxii share at the $4 and they sold right away. I sold gale at $5 and play it once in awhile because it's a consistent stock. I got taxed heavily on the rxii sale because it showed I got them for $0 so no they aren't free when it comes to paying the government. I don't see the same thing happening with this spin. For one, neither company has a current product. If fitx releases a product before the spin we may get a jump in price. If it doesn't release a product it won't go anywhere after Nov 30th. I think this is going to be the opposite. The new company will be the winner and the old company will be the dog. I base this on many things but most of all, if people were excited about a drink company we'd already be over a penny.
