what if the company comes out with a pr stating that they bought enough shares to cover their OS to complete the merge...and asked that all short shares be cover or close so they can delist the ticker, would shorts have to buy whatever our selling price if the company doesn't state the buyout price since they are doing a stock merge? any thoughts?
