"Short & Distort" probably, as I suspect they have been doing all along - see my post from Saturday on this.
When buying pressure comes in on eventual good news, it will move up again just as quickly due to the thin share structure and the fact that a significant portion of the 30M public float is held by longs who know they will get way higher next year..
It makes absolutely no sense for anyone to sell into the bid. Even anyone who just had r/s shares only from the old company knows by now that, if they are duped into selling, they can do it on the ask if they are patient.
That's why I prefer to see a large spread without a huge bid - deters whacking.
