I recommend trip(s) to St. Petersburg!
Having been there as a peace-group tourist three times in the 80s, I can tell you that the city takes your breath away. Russian citizens are way into culture, and even blue collar folks crowd the museums.
I'm looking forward to another visit, and arriving on a non-stop US based airplane. Know where I might find one?
