development of 8k is about 10 years out, if not more, from being a viable commercial enterprise.
1. No content. we're just starting to get rolling with 4K content for crying out loud
2. No network infrastructure to handle it. There are bandwidth issues now with 4K. (which NTEK is now trying to address) It will take double or quadruple the bandwidth to stream 8K
3. Studios aren't going to adopt a technology thats not going to make them money for awhile.
I don't think *K is going to be practicle for awhile...
