4 of the DSUS BOD members being awarded their FAA 333 Exemptions is a very significant achievement. Not only is it a complex and time consuming process - taking around 5 months - but until the FAA finalize regulations for commercial drone use, the 333 Exemptions are essential for anyone who seeks to legally conduct serious demonstrations to potential customers.
Drone Services USA, and it's partner Drone Services Hawaii, can also now offer consultancy on assisting others to formulate their FAA 333 Exemption submissions and are already advertising this.
To put the total FAA 333 Exemptions in context, by comparison there are 617,000+ commercial pilots in the USA (2013 figures), so 1,505 drone pilot authorizations is actually very few compared to the eventual requirement.
