I disagree with your statement. The company has every duty to tell us if the application was rejected, and the reasons why it was rejected, and the company's plans going forward. They have mentioned the Nasdaq uplisting no fewer than 100 times in presentations, blogs, shareholder updates, interviews, etc, over the last year.
If they want to initiate a mass exodus of long-time shareholders, all the company needs to do is NOT disclose their application was rejected, if that's the case. I would view that as deceptive, and I won't be invested in a company where I don't trust the management team.
That being said, I don't believe it will be an issue.
