I have a small bit of shares which moved over to gray sheet (CANN). It's quoted at $2.50/sh, but no bid/ask and I have no method to sell it (I hold it at scottrade). I'd like to dispose of it this tax year so it can be a short term capital loss.
Is there any way I can sell it? The other option would be to see if I can get scottrade to declare it as worthless. $2.50sh would be better than nothing, but at this point the short term capital loss is worth more than the $2.50sh.
Any advice?

you can probably get $2/share for it, I'd try a limit order for that. For gray sheets, you may well need a broker to place it, since I think Scottrades systems will reject the order if they can't find a bid/ask.
I remember when this was a $30-50 stock. I hope you got in early.
