Russia and Japans pop are contracting- not having children plus Russia's short life expectancy and suicide rate
Europes may be contracting absent immigration also
the USA alone has aborted c 50 million babies since 1973- total pop figures dont show that because of the ca .75-1m legal immigration/yr and the illegal immigration each year-and THEIR abundant offspring
so most of the 1st world is not reproducing itself- children have been considered a liability in an advanced economy whereas they were considered an asset in an agrarian economy-this has ramifications for social security etc also
