I think it is time for you to explain the overhead involved with sunflower seeds, how costs (labor, transportation, etc) have increased. How sunflower seds attract additional foragers that would then compete with them for the food.

Lots involved here, hidden things not apparent with the food tier above corn. This should help them understand until BCAP makes us rich.
