If the doctors administering the trial notice that some of their patients are not developing oral mucositis, so they suspect that the patient is getting the drug rather than the placebo, that in NO way invalidates the trial. The latest basher false claim that noticeable results would invalidate the trial is ridiculous. If that were the case, every successful drug trial that had a placebo arm would be invalidated. The bears are really reaching now, they can't find negative things to say that make any sense.

There have been cases where clinical trials have been halted because the results were so good it was unethical to keep people in the placebo arm. That alone should prove how stupid the latest bash is. I guess if you keep staring into the sun it fries your brains.
