One of my initial concerns before investing in NTEK was how close 8K tech was to commercialization and if 4K would get skipped all together. After looking at the infrastructure requirements that even 4K required, let alone 8K, as well as available 4K content, I felt 4K was the next logical step in the progression. I had read about 16K being in the experimental phase, didn't know about 32K.

I thought I read somewhere that they were already filming some movies in 8K, but like you said, the current infrastructure doesn't make it commercially viable.

I don't think people like to change that fast anyway. I have 3 HD TV's that work perfectly fine (unfortunately) and though I intend to buy a 4K tv within the next year or so, I probably won't replace my other 2 HD tv's until I have to.
