They do. That war is constantly baked into PPS. Without our constant reminders of the lies they spread the PPS would fall.
Likewise, if the bashers stepped away and the board was full of truth, the PPS would rise.
That said, fear trumps truth. It is true in politics. It is true in finance. It is part of the human condition.
Therefor bashing is more effective than truth telling. This is a well know phenomena in the OTC. People make money on this principle.
