Re: tinytoes51 #27339
had extensive discussions (with ntek about this ). they do "genre-based"^ encoding to start. apply algorithms. coding and encoding processing. i'm very pleased with what i've learned. talking to ntek. their technical methodology. applications. all elegant. thoughtful.efficient and effective
^ from my understanding... "genre-based" (as far as i know) is my own word. not theirs (but it may be their own patented tech/methodology). where they account for the "type" of film being transmitted. first
therefore, ntek employs another layer..... besides the "traditional compression" (hardware/equip., math and concerns) + "environmental pre-process" (which was news. only heard about it from ntek) approaches discussed in that 2015q3 white paper

excellent stuff. pls keep it up. refreshing to see someone exploring significant research (rather than attacking others + posting nonsense )
