As I posted on the old board, I believe that statin use is also a big factor for earlier development of Alzheimer's in older people -- but the increased diagnosis in younger people certainly DOES seem to be related to toxins of some kind. Anyone taking statins needs to take a minimum of 600 mg of Co-Q10 daily to try to counteract the effects. CostCo's own brand is cheap and high quality.
Cell phone use may be part of it too, though -- everyone should try to use speakierphone setting or ear buds when they can. They further away you can keep the cell phone radiation from your brain, the better. Initially they pooh-poohed the link between cell phones and brain cancer -- then, surprise surprise, more recent epidemiological studies confirm it. Why should we think that more subtle problems like Alz couldn't be related too?
