Roth account and youth.
A Roth account probably isn't for you right now. To withdraw from it without paying a penalty, the Roth account has to be at least 5 years old, and you must be age 59 1/2 or more. That's a long time to wait, especially if you had BLTA stock there and it appreciated explosively.
You also have to have earned income in the year you deposit.
It's a good place for my own investments because I am over 60, and I've had the Roth for way more than 5 years.
Maybe someone else has some advice. Good luck. Smart to get into investing so young!
