The closest thing we've had to this that I can recall is pictures while they were training....
Your right, they are getting ready to leave the nest.
BTW: I downloaded the image and tried to pull EXIF data to find if there was a timestamp, GPS info, etc from the camera. There wasn't; probably filtered by Facebook or it was turned off.
I was trying to find the exact time the photo was actually taken.
