If the "patterns" serve only to convince one to buy and hold a stock as it falls 99%, what good are they?
There is one "pattern" that has been very reliable- the 99% steady drop over the past few years. Whether one dismisses it as "smoke and mirrors", or blames the company for not having created any value and lying to investors, nothing changes the fact that the bank accounts of those who got sucked into PTOI are lesser as a result.
