That's all relative. These numbers can be interpreted anyway you want. Just have to pick the right date.

July 6th ranking: Global: 967,681 US: 197,854
Which compared to today is:
Global: 858,331 = up 109,350
US: 195,991 = actually down 1,863

Not really powerfull, especially for the US.
Short term numbers are useless anyway.
