It is going to be exactly the same as when VHS copies of movies took hold. At first studios were reluctant but when they saw that pirate copies did not eat into profits and profits actually went up the pressure was too great. Movies that would have never made money in the traditional movie theater market became profitable in the VHS rental market. The big winners in what is coming (besides content providers like NTEK) is going to be for the independent filmmakers. The money necessary to distribute a film becomes so low that films that did not stand a chance at making it to the viewing public are now easily and cheaply available via streaming.
