Forward split can cause stock price to increase. I owned shares of LiveDeal back in Jan of 2014 when the stock price was around $3. Then they announced a forward split of 3:1 and the stock price zoomed up near $27. Today it is still hovering around the $3 mark, but that is post-split.
So an announcement of a forward split can (even if it is 2:1) can cause the price to skyrocket, and can be a better option that a reverse split.
I do think that THCZ is going to have to get their stock price up, one way or another in order to uplist and attract more investors.
Wouldn't it be great if the price went up to .30 after earnings report, and then they did a 2:1 split to bring it back down to .15? I bet a forward stock split would generate a lot of media and excitement, and the price would gain an upward momentum for a little while.
It may be a dream for me, but LiveDeal pulled it off, and I bet you can find other stocks that got a nice healthy boost after they announced a forward split.
Just sayin.
