As a newbie, I avoided penny stocks, so the $7 fee seemed like a good deal at the time. Main reason, though, was that the other brokers required balances that I couldn't afford. Now that I've taken the penny stock plunge, my account balance is even worse, so I guess I'm stuck for now.
