Judged by the waves that the Alchemy PR makes here on Shub's board it's a non event.
Haven't we seen these kind of PR's before, yawnnnnn ?
I would have preferred that they added at least a handfull of the "coming soon" titles, and replace them in that section with a new bunch of sooners.
In stead there is another agreement.
Depends on the source. The only way to have real 4K is to scan a movie that was shot on film, or of course a movie that was shot in native 4K.
Not so recent movies shot digitally are only available in HD, Blu-ray or 2K, so these can only be upscaled into 4K, (to which is added some of the famous NTEK sauce). That shouldn't take too long to do I would say.
Many of the latest additions are upscaled on UF.
By the way, that PR states :
At the last counting, 302 titles (203 hrs) were on UF. So a bunch of content is waiting for "the signature", or what is going on ?
