Good points Chess & from some relevant reading I've been doing lately, it would seem that QMCs' latest 'low heat' offerings could play well in the LED lighting & optical electronics sectors as well. LED's operate at lower temperatures than other techs but still put out enough to be counter-productive to max efficiency & longevity. As we all know, 'heat' is the enemy in electronics & the same goes for LED lighting...even a modest decrease in temperature is said to have a substantial benefit in performance efficiency & longevity. One example in current attempts to deal with this issue can be seen here: http://www.gizmag.com/dyson-led-lamp-37-years/37935/
