For what it is worth, I was charged transfer fees at my various brokers to cover the symbol change costs. I wonder if etrade is having trouble implementing such a system. Seems rather pedestrian given the number of M&A actions that happen every year.

Finally, as many have said, given that all of the other major brokers are reporting a clean transaction with the DTCC, the fault must lie with the etrade or the relationship between etrade and dtcc. Don't you just love seeing our hard earned tax dollars at work? Lovely.

You can always count on our government to find a way to screw-up the simplest of tasks. Argh!
