No age limit, and you can contribute to a roth past the age of 70 if you really wanted. There is also no minimum distributions, and you can pull out the cash you contributed at anytime without penalty.
All gains are TAX FREE if you don't withdrawal the gains before age 59 1/2 and you have had the roth open for at least 5 years!
If you make too much money, You cannot open a roth:
Single: If you make more than $114,000-$119,000 per year
Joint: If you make more than $181,000-$191,000 per year
