Actually it might. Any rescheduling will likely take that long in order to coordinate the number of bodies involved. It's been discussed that they only do a next day re-test if the failure is crew action related. Mechanical failures take longer to debrief.
Also, he indicated that the decision to scale back to a one slide test was made only two days ago.
Again, it's complete speculation that there is any validity to the rumor. All I'm saying is that it does make sense.
