Most chickens can fly, even if not very far. The only ones that don't are the ones that are locked in little cages and force fed gmo foods and hormones. Just like turkeys, pidgeons, doves, partridges and quail, they prefer to stay on the ground unless they need to escape a predator or clear an obstacle.
