Random thought on Friday afternoon before beer.
Some have wondered if QMC has been left behind on displays. Why no contract announced, etc?
One possibility is that QMC was working on optimizing the new class of dots with a manufacturer(s) for months. Rather than jumping in and selling "common" dots like everyone else, were they working on the better mouse trap that will result in a better, longer lasting displays?
Being first out of the gate with new products is usually desired, but if you can come out with a superior product before the overall market is well established, then sometimes you can enter the race, pull ahead, and win it in the end.
Now they have completed the optimization per the PR and will release details next week. Let's see what comes out next week.
