Delivery to customers is done via edge servers currently through Akamai. We are now pushing several hundred terabytes a day on our internal processing network. Given that we have just ingested over 200 new movies the bandwidth use has grown exponentially. We needed the expanded bandwidth for both the ingest process as well as the internal transfer of data. Scans are approximately 5TB each when being processed by 4K Studios (16 bit DPX HDR images), and have to be shuffled to and from the Studios and then through the encoding and compression servers, then transferred up and down to the forensic watermarking servers, then up and down to the DRM key servers, and then final outputs to the edge servers for delivery to the customers.
