I've been told that Apple, like other companies, is waiting for the 4K Market to mature before entering. The entire vision of UltraFlix and 4K studios was to fill that void taking steps to be the market leader while others sat back and waited. Roku, Apple TV and other platforms will eventually support 4K, and UltraFlix will have established itself as the leader in 4K content availability.

4K Live has been tested and is ready to go from a technology basis. There are many events being negotiated with sponsors to broadcast.
