"Also If people sold A PORTION OF THEIR HOLDINGS, but HELD the MAJORITY of their shares, it means THEY ARE STILL LONG AND BULLISH, just may have had too much money in one stock for their liking!"
Those are your words above Truth. This may not be popular to say buy ... My money cleared for some buying today but I didn't, instead I sold 10% at and around the .0229 level. This doesn't mean I am not bullish, but just rather taking a little profit. This is no way called dumping, it is called profit taking.
Because of my sale today and the money that cleared today for available trading I will be able to increase my shares owned by roughly 25% of what I had previously owned. I put a buy order in at the end of the day that did not get filled.
Selling some is a very tough decision, selling any more than 10% and I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. But not taking a little after a 100% gain I wouldn't be able to sleep at night either. I will buy those shares back and then some well above the previous lows. In my opinion selling 10% is responsible selling. Despite me selling the 10% I gave nothing but positive commentary on my posts after my trades.
It is very possible this stock continues on the tear we are on now next week and I will have to pay more to get them back, I am also fine with that. I will be happily cheering on the 90% of my remaining shares. Looking to add in a big way next week though.
I consider myself one of the most diehard longs, and even I sold a little today. So I guess the quoted theory of yours is correct.
