Joe I understand. It is not terrible to identify stocks, plays the swings and have some stashed long term. I look at some of the PPS of stocks I bought and said if i only held some long term. You are correct a lot were 100% and more. It is even better if they are dividend stocks with reinvestment and potential splits. This is not a revelation just the fact that they had long term value as you say.
