What do I think? I think that the stock I bought today will pay off big down the road.
I think that this stock has very little risk, based on the brilliant purchase for practically nothing of the assets of PolyMedix. Polymedix had the intellectual property for Brilacidin, and the many other difensin-mimetic compounds the company is looking at commercializing. Brilacidin has had spectacular preliminary results, is an entirely new class of antibiotics, and is beginning the pathway to approval. That one drug alone is worth more than the current stock price. Very few tiny biotechs have not one but THREE drugs entering clinical trials, for 3 completely different diseases.
Either or both Kevetrin and Prurisol could also be blockbusters, and any good news from either could result in a huge upward move. Also, uplisting to the Nasdaq (which the company has stated is a priority, and is taking steps to qualify for) would be another impetus. Many are expecting the ASCO presentation on Kevetrin at the end of this month to be a share price booster.
What do I think has happened recently? I think that once again CTIX is the target of a bear raid. We have seen this in the past -- suddenly a bunch of negative posters show up on another site, bashing the stock, stock price goes down, someone starts buying up a bunch of stock, and then good news is announced that sends the price up. Because there is a huge amount of stock that could be sold into the market from a lawsuit settlement (and many people think that it IS being sold), this adds downward pressure.
I sure would NEVER offer investment advice, but as painful as it is to watch this downward movement, I think that I will be feeling a lot better about the share price pretty soon. Maybe tomorrow.
