I believe your thinking is on base. Can you really tell the difference between upscaled and native 4k to want to pay double?
Oh sure, they have a nice, pretty, colorful, logo, but their main advantage is exclusive 4k content.
Again, if you're only paying half for the same movie that the t.v. can upscaled by itself, and your hard pressed to tell the difference, why pay double?
Seems to me, only a nitwit, would do that.
