Keep in mind that the lower the share price gets, the harder it will be for the manipulators to continue this tactic of theirs unless they are able to increase their inventory of shares to play with. The cheaper the share price, the more shares long investors can pick up; i.e., $1k can buy 100k shares at $0.01. The only way manipulators can replenish their inventory is if current longs sell their shares to them.
Put today's trading into perspective:
- Only 50% of today's shares were 'sold' (likely between manipulators' accounts).
- ~150k shares sold at ~$0.02 is $3,000.
