You're doing everything you should. Get it off the tires, and the battery kill switch is great. And as was suggested earlier, just start it every so often to keep things running. I love the Lightnings and definitely want to see yours taken care of while waiting to catch back up after all this chaos. Fortunately where you are you don't have to worry about salt on the roads or anything so I am sure it will stay in excellent condition while waiting out the storm.
