Sorry Sidepocket, Smg1991 presented it correctly. While correct in your straightforward calculation .051 x 160% = .0816 you have failed to account for the underlying premise that you still retain (start out with) your initial investment at .051
You must then add the increase (.0816) to you original investment to arrive at your final pps of .1326
Using your logic, if you had a pps of $1.00 and then had a 20% gain, you stock price would fall to .20 ($1.00 x 20% = .20).
