We'll have to see what Interstellar will do for UF. I don't like to get overexcited like some people do.
Agreed, it has an Oscar for best viual effects and it will surely do good to get Ultraflix a boost.
But movies without an Oscar are higher ranked.
I can imagine that it was chosen (by NTEK or Paramount) just for it's visul effects, as it is probably best suited for 4K (being shot in Imax et al).
However, the Box Office Mojo domestic gross ranking is 171, The LEGO movie f.e. is at 78.
For Paramount movies it ranks at 19 all time, behind Transformers: Age of Extinction and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (also 2014 releases).
"Blockbuster" is a big word I would say.
Yet it has good foreign box office numbers. So there is some potential.

Having cost $700k in license fees according to Big, it better be the movie that will bring Ultraflix in the picture.
