Well here's one for you -- I was dubious about their listing "autism" as one of the conditions they wanted to investigate the defensin-mimetics for. I thought, huh, what? how can that work?
Then I read an article yesterday that said that parents have noticed for 20 years that their autistic kids are better when they are on antibiotics. The current theory is that some bacteria are contributing toxins to the gut which worsen the symptoms. Killing off those bacteria seems to help -- so maybe if they can be identified, they can be targeted. Enter the new class of antibiotics...
Brilacidin has been what I've been excited about, tending to forget about Kevetrin. LOL
