I doubt that as the crime rate in that area is extremely low.
Guards in Canada are mostly not armed and provide a check-in/PR role and eyes for the police if there is an actual crime.
Security becomes a major concern when in production but for now it's more like securing a vacated (with equipment) building and the electronic detection can do that job.
Just my opinion however I've designed security systems for banks, government and industry for over 25 years..
