I've worked for lawfirms and for government (I'm a IT network administrator). What I've found is in government the average employee has his or her job because of someone they knew, not so much because of their abilities. So when a legal situation such as this happens. you get a lot of people in government scurrying around trying to cover their asses because they got in over their heads. I don't know if this is true in Canada, but from what I've seen it's very similar to a lot of situations I've witnessed over the years. I think some people at HC don't know what they are doing. I also think a few of them are on some power trips or possibly paid off. And lastly I think you have an element within the organization that is simply negative on mmj. On the legal side, if we've done everything that was asked and have a good lawyer. I can't see how we could lose this fight.
