Finally my Rico Suave taste test: Energy drinks have a taste all their own. They are full of vitamins and proteins and without all kinds of sugars. Those who don't drink energy drinks and try Rico Suave for the first time won't be able to compare to the others in the same drink category. I've drank Red Bulls and sometimes a couple back to back for years now. I've also tried Monster and a couple others over the years. I've 55 years old as well so I'm not a kid with a kid's palette.
I'm also not a cigarette smoker. I had a grandfather who couldn't taste anything due to his years of heavy smoking. That said:
I like Rico Suave better than Red Bull! It is carbonated but not too much and on par with Red Bull but maybe a bit less in carbonation.
It has a raspberry or strawberry or cherry mix flavor as compared to lemon/lime in Red Bull. I would say it is a bit sweeter to my tongue than Red Bull. If I felt like a sour taste then I would drink a Red Bull but if a bit more on the sweet side then Rico Suave. I mix Red Bull with cranberry juice when at bars. I find cranberry juice has a dry taste so it cuts the tart in Red Bull a bit when it gets tiring after a few over the course of hours. IMO there will be no need to cut or mix Rico Suave! I could drink it all day! I have an after taste after three good sips but it is fading. The idea of it containing Hemp which is very healthy makes it my number one energy drink now. I have my case unpacked in my man cave refrigerator for consumption. I will be keeping it in stock!
