If CR doesn't go, I would imagine that most of us will be left in the dark until the video is released two weeks (IIRC) after the event. Sure, we may know some of the details about the launch, but the true details will likely be known at this event, including some important questions that may be answered about distribution, pricing, partnerships, etc.
Hearing about the "invitation in the mail" is right about where I thought this was going to be initially after reading the PR about the event, until another poster clarified that it was for shareholders. Now we're unsure????
Invitation only likely means it would be packed with important people (not that we aren't), and maybe that's a good thing in the end. I wouldn't call it a special event for shareholders though.
