Paul Aisen is professor of neurology and medicine and director of the Memory Disorders Program at the Georgetown University School of Medicine . He is an expert on Alzheimer's disease.
Trained as a rheumatologist, his research interest focuses on inflammatory mechanisms in the brain, and the development of new treatment strategies for neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease. He is currently directing a number of NIH-funded therapeutic trials.
